ZMP Mission
For over twenty years, ZMP’s mission is to
enable our local Zimbabwe partner,
Heather Chimhoga Orphan Care (HCOC),
to provide and care for orphans and other
vulnerable children until adulthood.
How we started
More than 30 years ago, Ralph and Roberta Pippitt visited Zimbabwe in retirement. They saw indescribable poverty and learned of a school in Zimbabwe that was to be condemned because it was unsafe for the 600 kids attending. They decided to help.
Through fundraising in the US, they were able to drill wells for safe drinking water and renovate/build many school buildings, libraries, and teacher houses. They even helped build a bridge across a crocodile infested river so that children could safely cross and come to school.
As the orphan population grew around 2000, largely due to the AIDs epidemic, the Pippitt’s formed ZMP and Renewed Hope Foundation to work together in supporting the newly founded Heather Chimhoga Orphan Care organization. By 2003, three feeding centers were in operation serving over 1,000 orphans and from there it has grown based on the needs in the community.
Our Partnership
Zimbabwe Mission Partnership is a collaboration
of 9 Colorado churches and other individuals that have banded together to support the work of Heather Chimhoga Orphan Care (HCOC).
Our all-volunteer stateside board of directors seeks to bring hope to nearly 700 orphans and vulnerable children in rural Zimbabwe.
By raising funds and supporting the work of HCOC, the goal is to continue to facilitate the ongoing progress towards self-sufficiency.

Representatives of the ZMP collaborate frequently with HCOC both remotely by phone and video and in person during annual visits to HCOC
